Research Associate Molecular Engineering Job Description

We are looking for a motivated research associate to join the team responsible for the molecular optimization of our Nanobodies® including humanization and further engineering of lead candidates for optimal in vivo and in vitro performance.

Responsibilities:

• Mutagenesis and formatting of Nanobody® lead candidates using a diverse range of molecular biology and microbiology techniques
• Sequence analysis and database storage of Nanobody® constructs using specialized software
• Supporting project teams with in-depth Nanobody® sequence knowledge
• Design and execution of complex Nanobody® libraries and tool constructs
• Assisting in analysis of Nanobody® affinity maturation and other mutant datasets
• Sequence identification and verification of target orthologs/paralogs and other tool sequences
• Small scale Nanobody® production (in E. coli and P. pastoris) and purification
• • As an active member of a number of project teams, you will be required to work effectively in a matrix structure and communicate results at team and project meetings.

Research Associate Molecular Engineering Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Degree of Professional Bachelor in Laboratory Technology or Biotechnology (Laboratory Technician A1), Bachelor or Master in Industrial Sciences (Industrial Engineer), Biochemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent
• Expertise in a broad range of molecular biology techniques – protein experience is a definite plus
• Proficiency in sequence-based bioinformatics software packages and MS Office
• Team player, analytical mindset, sense of initiative, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills are essential – fluency in English (spoken and written) is expected
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
