Java Web Based Application Developer Job Description

• A willingness to undertake self-study, proactively filling knowledge gaps.

• Designing and implementing customizations to our core PLM business system, in a controlled and traceable manor, minimizing risk and disruption.
• Developing bespoke applications which extend the functionality of the business system meeting Ricardo’s specific needs.
• Developing methods of extracting data from the system for reporting purposes.
• Generate documentation, to capture knowledge within the administration team and provide users with the necessary information.

Java Web Based Application Developer Job Requirements

• Qualification in a computer science or similar subject. Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have a significant amount of previous industrial experience.
• Knowledge of JAVA  Enterprise Edition (JSP, JSTL)
• HTML and java script
• Excel and VBA or at least a willingness to learn
• At minimum, intermediate level English language skills
• You will be able to communicate your ideas to non technical staff and be methodical and sociable.

• Previous experience in administration or customization of a PLM system or other large mission critical information system is of course preferred but this is not a pre-requisite
• Experience of Oracle and SQL
• Any expose to mechanical engineering or CAD systems
• Agile methodologies and version control of code changes
