Drilling Superintendant
 
My client, a major operator engaged in E&P in North Sea, West Africa, and Middle East,  is looking for a Drilling Superintendant with 15+ years experience.

The main aspects of the Drilling Superintendant role includes:

• Undertaken project development work.
• Drive the drilling aspects of field development through concept to execution.
• Build the operational team to execute the work scope ensuring the HSE compliance, quality for engineering and flawless execution are the key drivers.
• Mobilise and run the operational teams to deliver exploration and development wells and completions

Drilling Superintendant Job Requirements

Essential criteria for the Drilling Superintendant includes:

• 15+ years of relevant oilfield experience including extensive supervisory experience of MODU drilling operations including (from a MODU) ERD, well testing and completions.
• Strong leadership and team building.
• Show initiative and flexibility in leadership to adapt to changing environment and development planning schedules.
• Ability to liaise with business teams outside of drilling in a corporate environment.
• Ideally brought new build or refurbished rigs out of the ship yard and shaken them down.
• Liaised with contractor to outfit a rig to run trees and completions.
• Experience designing and drilling development wells including experience liaising with the subsurface team to land and geosteer wells.
• Be self motivated to instil the HSE culture over the entire drilling operation by leading and consistently delivering the HSE.
• Experience of UK regulatory regime and safety case advantageous.
