Product Improvement Engineer(1 FTE) - Drunen Job Description

Position description

Within the Product Management and Engineering department the actual portfolio products are managed to keep them attractive to our clients. One of the tasks is to analyse field feedback and decide on eventual needed upgrades in the designs to tackle structural problems. These design upgrades are analysed, decided, executed, validated and implemented through a Product Improvement Process (PIP). Within the PIP team the Product Improvement Engineer plays an important role in the execution of this PIP related work.

Responsibilities

• Supports the overall coordination of PIP cases. 
• Execution of PI work in NX/Team Center environment 
• Support guidance towards outsourcing of PI work 
• Co-ordinate PI work together with the Product Improvement team leader 
• Maintain clear statuses of PI issues through PIP Data base 
• Provide expert knowledge & technical support about issues related PI issues. 
• Develop knowledge to become a recognized asset for Wärtsilä to consult.

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, or equivalent professional background. 
• Experience in Siemens NX/Team Center environment is a must 
• Good communication in English (oral and written) is a must. 
• Motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active mindset 
• Good project engineering skills 
• RCA competences prefered 
• Good team player in global, multicultural organisation. 
• Propulsion system knowledge is an additional asset
