Product Design Engineer – Hydraulic Components
 
General:
Fulfill mechanical engineering tasks for complex purchased items within a specific system package in close cooperation with other department members
 
Central Tasks:

• Personal responsibility to define requirements of components, sub - assemblies and assemblies in accordance to specification requirements, schedule and costs
• Prepare purchasing specifications for purchased items
• Personal responsibility to define and clarify interfaces in close cooperation with colleagues and suppliers
• Check and if necessary release designs from other colleagues following appropriate instructions
• Review client specifications and support tender activities
• Design and revision control of engineering documentation considering appropriate instructions;
• Perform design reviews – internal as well as with clients
• Develop test programs (FATs) for manufactured equipment and purchased parts in close cooperation with suppliers
• Prepare engineering documentation like Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Installation Procedures, Preservation Procedures in close cooperation with suppliers
• Provide and administer drawings and bill of materials
• Special tasks for the Engineering Product Manager (EPM)
• Support colleagues in the company (also internationally) in case of questions and problems
• Ensure Cameron Engineering Procedures and Cameron Engineering Plant Manuals are followed within daily work
• Support operations and aftermarket

Qualifications:

• Education in mechanical engineering (university)
• Knowledge, abilities and experience in the job as a mechanical Engineer including national and international procedures
• Good English
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work in a team
• Willing to decide on his own and take responsibility for actions
• Conviction, self-motivation and being prepared to travel
