As an engineer, you would solve problems, assess situations and apply solutions with the understanding of knowledge of telecommunications; you understand how telecommunications equipment and services work and are equipped to handle disruptions of service and come up with solutions to deal with problems as they may arise in the field.  

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Knowing how to handle and support various telecommunication equipments.
• Identifying, evaluating & finding solutions to different technical problems.
• Visiting and scrutinizing sites frequently to check whether any repair is needed.
• Working promptly in urgent situations and be prepared to handle any interruptions of service.
• Giving authorization to the equipment quality and give notice to the associated authorities if any alteration is required.
• Know how to design & build telecommunications system.
• Be aware of the company and government procedures and standards and then follow or apply them accordingly.
• Proactive in foreseeing problems in equipment and service and come forward with solutions before they crop up.
• Troubleshoots equipment & technical defects that could occur in this field
• Possess a wide array of knowledge in their field regarding the installation, circuitry, government compliance & telecom systems including waves, fiber optics, data, voice etc to do their duties

Telecom Engineer Job Requirements

The Skills and Specifications 

• A minimum of 4 years of related experience in engineer or a related functional area in Telecommunication or IT Industry; knowledge of Telecom and branch-related vocabulary preferred.
• University degree or college diploma in the Telecommunications field
• Previous B2B Telecom exposure
• Excellent Interpersonal, good research, analyzing and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with management, staff and clients.
• You should be able to determine the relationships between solutions and requirements of the company
• Fluent in English; any additional main-stream language skills are advantageous.
• Must be willing to relocate to the Costa Brava area (Spain)

• Experience in the Mobile Telecommunications field with SMS-C / STP (Signaling) / HLR / GGSN or large Data Networks
• Knowledge of Telecom market.
• Cross-border work experience within an international company
