Software Lead Engineer (m/f) in the field of Automotive Job Description
Tasks
In this function you will implement demanding software applications for heavy duty trucks. You will lead software projects, mainly for electronic braking systems or for transmission automation. Furthermore you will work in a cross functional team of international experts from the field of product and system development. This means in detail:
- Functional leadership of software projects
- Planning, controlling and follow up of software projects according to the WABCO development process
- Development of software specifications and –designs based on customer and system requirements
- Planing the integration of software components into the overall system
- Coordinate the performance of tests for software integration and release
- Management of software releases in cooperation with internal and external customers

Requirements
- Technical graduate, ideally in electronics or informatics
- Experience in software development mainly in the automotive- or aerospace-industry
- Experience in embedded systems
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge in the one or more of the following fields will be an advantage:
- development tools (like Requirement-Management, Configuration-Management, Coding, Testing)
- software design methods (e.g. CMMI, SPICE)
- requirements analysis and software-design
- Fluent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as good German skills
