Senior Project Engineer (1 FTE)

About Group Production
GROUP PRODUCTION (GPR) is part of Rockwool and provides knowledge and support to the Operating Companies in all operational matters - production, supply chain, capital investments, safety, health and environment. In these areas GPR will take the lead and pro-actively support, challenge and motivate the Operating Companies. The vacant position is in the department ‘CSS’ which main responsibility & competence lies in warehouse automation & systems-investments for Rockfon, Rockpanel, Grodan, Technical Insulation & Rockfibres.
Main responsibilities
• Specify project-supplies including scope, timing & budget in close cooperation with the internal customer. Project-supplies are in the area of sequential machines installed in-line;
• Engineer, manufacture and implement equipment and complete plants for Rockwool-products, in some occasions leading a small group of engineers and/or consultants;
• Supply of new and improvement of existing equipment based on evaluation of functionality, process, maintenance and internal/external environment;
• Fulfilling the demands with respect to operational & technical documentation when delivering supplies;
• Close cooperation with our internal purchasing & contracting-department in order to deliver competitive supplies;
• Commissioning and running-in of supplies in the Group factories to reach learning-curve objectives and deliver the necessary process-service.
You have
• Master degree (or Bachelor degree with experience on university level) in mechanical engineering;
• Minimum 10 years of proven relevant equipment engineering experience and/or experience in operational maintenance;
• Innovative skills in new technologies & working-processes and ambitious to work beyond- and cross-borders of the own profession and able to participate in multidiscipline & multinational project-teams;
• Mature skills in building-up and maintaining of internal- as well as external business-relations;
• Excellent communication skills, able to balance knowledge and project management skills;
• A global mindset, you are fully capable in English, and willing to travel app. 70 days/year.
