Job description
As a mechanical engineer you can read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. You work according to operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. You research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. You research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

Mechanical Engineer Job Requirements

Experience

For the position of Mechanical Engineer, we are looking for candidates who have: 

• completed a technical study at a Bachelor or Master level.
• minimal 3 years of experience in a mechanical job in an automotive, energy, maritime or (high tech) industry environment.
• knowledge of CAD packages such as Pro-E, Solid Edge, Solid Works, Inventor, Catia or NX
• knowledge of FEM-calculations
• good communication skills as you regularly meet with different departments and disciplines regarding the progress of your projects
• interest to work in a team
• good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages
• in possession of a driver’s license (level B)
