Projectmanager R&D
Location: Roermond
The Project Manager is responsible for the development of innovative substrate products and the implementation of these products in the production environment. He is taking ownership for the translation of functional (new) product specifications to production/process specifications. He is supporting the pre-implementation of these products in the market.
As an experienced networker he is developing and maintaining his knowledgebase and relevant internal as well as external network. He is able to translate new ideas and trends into new innovative products and processes.
The Project Manager R&D will report to the Director Application & Development.
The main areas of responsibility for this position are:
• Developing innovative substrate wool systems, substrate applications and related tools and services including end of life solutions.
• Defining process specifications following product specifications and support the implementation process of newly developed products in production environment.
• Initiating and managing projects focused on the developments in the above mentioned application fields in line with Rockwool project management guidelines.
• Contacting and cooperating with knowledge and expertise institutes in order to develop relevant knowledge, strategic perspective and network. Managing and securing internal as well as external contact patterns and knowledge as far as related to functionality of A&D.
• Cooperating with Rockwool International Group Development as well as other knowledge institutes in joint development projects.
• Identify strategic development directions in line with Grodan Group strategy and business planning. Initiate and manage innovation projects focused on the most promising innovation directions.
• Guide and support the pre-implementation process of new products and innovations in the market.
The requirements to successfully fulfil this position are:
• A relevant Msc. Degree by preference in chemistry or material science.
• Advanced experience and supporting track record in project management.
• Knowledge and expertise related to one of the relevant R&D areas: polymer chemicals, wool system, substrate applications, tools & services and end of life solutions.
• The ability to act and communicate at different levels and with different interests in an international setting.
• Fluent English & Dutch, both verbally and in writing, additional languages are preferred.
