The department: The Engineering Dairy Equipment department is responsible for the development of automated milking systems and feeding systems as well as other products. The department consists of a group of highly pragmatic engineers and a workshop along with a testing department, where concepts can be tested in practice straight away. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for a number of products that are to be developed or that need to be developed further on the basis of existing concepts.

The function:
You will be responsible for developing high-end electronic parts (ranging from real time cameras to complex process control) for controlling dairy machines and systems.
Major duties:
- Drawing up technical specifications as well as developing functional designs;
- Taking stock of technical resources that may be needed to oversee the project as well as selecting and arranging such resources;
- Having a prototype built in keeping with specifications;
- Setting up and implementing test and validation structures in consultation with the Senior Engineer
- Producing technical documentation for the Customer Support department;
- Setting up and maintaining the technical electronic file as well as project documentation;
- Describing new details (e.g. for release or patent purposes);
- Setting up procedures for acceptance tests of electronic components.
