For one of the world's leading pharmaceutical company's production sites, we are mandated to search for a device design manager with experience in design and manufacturing of medical devices.    

Global Device Manager

As the receiver of assigned devices and the related Design History file/Design Dossier the jobholder ensures proper documentation of the Device Transfer according to regulations and robust implementation of the device in operations. The Device Expert is responsible for the device and its documentation after transfer during the whole Life Cycle until pruning. This includes the management of changes, deviations and suppliers as well as ensuring all post market activities according to regulations.
 

• Evaluate that device design considers constraints of Technical Operations
• Implementation of efficient and robust processes for the manufacture, packaging and/or analysis of Medical Devices/Combination Products in strong collaboration with the Project Team Leader
• Ensures the completion of documentation according to regulations and internal standards for Medical Devices and Combination Products
• Take over ownership of the Design History file/Design Dossier
• Keep Design History file/Design Dossier up to date
• Address complex technical issues and set up projects accordingly
• Provide technical leadership skill in all activities related to assigned devices
• Actively manage changes as project leader
• Provide technical expertise for quality and compliance related issues regarding Quality
• Ensures post market activities like post market surveillance, vigilance, annual review, etc.

Global Device Manager Job Requirements

Languages:

• English fluent, German & Spanish appreciated

• Professional experience in design & manufacturing of medical devices. Comprehensive know how in related technologies.
• Several years (minimum of 3) of directly related experience.
• Recognized expertise in a specific device area as well as strategic background.
• Proven track record of creativity, problem solving and productivity in projects.
• Good overview of current trends and upcoming techniques for current and future applications.
• Thorough understanding of device design, manufacturing and regulation.
• Demonstrated successful experience with working in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
• Good leadership skills.

• Advanced engineering degree in relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical engineering).
• Holistic approach to the complex topic based on a broad education covering design and engineering, commercial manufacturing, business understanding and excellent interpersonal , negotiation and communication skills
