The unit you will be working focuses on research and technology development for the areas of thermo-chemical conversion of biomass into energy and chemicals, efficient use of energy in the process industry and CO2 capture. The resulting breakthroughs in technology are further developed in conjunction with commercial partners.
Your will participate in research and development projects in the area of upgrading and conversion of biomass/waste. These projects aim at the development of innovative technology to convert biomass into higher grades of energy in the most efficient and cost effective way. Normally first principles are demonstrated on a lab scale followed by a pilot scale proof of concept.
