Application Engineer - Home Office (m/f) Job Description

IBS precision engineering is a medium-sized European company of high precision technology. For the further development of business activities in Germany we are looking for an application engineer (m/f) for the care of highly specialised metrological applications for our clients in industrial enterprises and research institutes. As a technology leader, IBS offers an interesting challenge in an international environment with technological innovation, a comprehensive training and internal development opportunities.

Tasks:

• Project coordination between customers in Germany and the own development department.
• Analysis and further development of the existing technical functions.
• Recording of specific requirements at the customer. 
• Independent development of solution concepts for technical problems / applications for customers as well implementation of these solutions.
• Advise customers with updates and appropriate technical support.
• Intensive cooperation with different contacts on the customer side.
• Implementation of electrical and mechanical works on site during the commissioning of the applications. 
• Testing the installed applications.

Application Engineer - Home Office (m/f) Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Completed technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Measurement, or related courses.
• First experience desirable.
• Knowledge of a programming language such as C / C++.
• Experience in using CAD systems such as Pro/E.
• Analytical skills for customer-oriented solutions to problems.
• Independent, methodical and responsible way of working.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in dealing with clients and colleagues.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel continuous. 
• German and sufficient English language skills.
