SENIOR CHEMIST Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead / play a key role in catalyst development projects
- Translate business needs into R&D project plans
- Keep track of project progress, budget, resource planning and provide frequent status updates to all stake holders.
- Define new concepts / solutions and translate them into practical approaches
- Active role in catalyst preparation
- Design of experiments and analyze catalyst (performance) test results
- Development of (mental) models to support catalyst development
- Reporting of results: internal reports, presentations and patents
- Coaching of team members
The profile:The Catalysts Research organization supports the development of new catalyst products for a number of businesses, i.e. Performance Catalyst Solutions, Polymer Solutions, FFC and HPC. As a (Sr) Chemist you will lead / play a key role in the catalyst development projects. Furthermore, the (Sr) Chemist will work in close collaboration with business and will be responsible for the development of new product solutions in line with market needs.
SENIOR CHEMIST Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Academic degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Preferably 4-5 years experience in an industrial research environment.
- Proven project management skills
- Team player
- Creative
- Pro-active, getting-things-done attitude
- Flexible, able to multi-task
- Affinity with statistical data analysis (Design of Experiments)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (proficiency in Dutch is preferred)
- The position will be based in Amsterdam.
