We are looking for an enthusiastic: 

Lubricant Additive Specialist within the R&D Department (m/f)

This function can be exercised from the home country (home office), on location at BRB in the Netherlands, on location at BRB in Malaysia or on consultancy basis.

You are responsible for the development of new lubricants/additives for our Additives division. You will report to the Vice-President R&D. Your tasks amongst others will be:

• The development of new lube oil additives for automotive and industrial applications;
• The development of analytical methods and production processes;
• Technical support to in- and external customers;
• Reporting research results;
• Maintaining contact with our suppliers;
• Stay up-to-date on the developments in the area of lubricants and additives.

Lubricant Additive Specialist within the R&D Department (m/f) Job Requirements

What we expect

• You have at least a BSc degree and at least 5 years years of experience in the development of lubricant additives.
• You possess a thorough knowledge of additives and lubricants and know how to apply this knowledge to create solutions for lubricant applications.
• You are aware of market developments and know how to handle specifications and the accompanying test methods.
• Experience with reaction chemistry is a definite advantage.
• You are able to think in terms of solutions, approach problems from various angles and make the proper connections.
• In addition, you are a team player, have a clear customer focus and a trained eye for quality.
• You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
