Deputy Manager R+D phytopharmaca (Switzerland) Job Description
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functional participation in the achievement of the operational and organizational tasks of the Research Department, within the company’s vision, values, targets and strategies, in line with the agreed developmental objectives
- Through cross functional collaboration and the coordination, motivation/ training of internal and external collaborators the Deputy Head of Research assures the achievement of their defined organizational objectives
- Involved in the evaluation of new plants eligible to the product pipeline
- Involved in state of the art, bioassay driven pharmaceutical development of plant extracts and medicines thereof
- Coordinates the drug supply management and manufacturing process
- Accountable for formulation development of final medicinal product
- Makes proposals and recommendations to the Head of Research on the strategy, direction of research projects and associated budgetary requirements
- Involved in evaluation and coordination of personnel resources requirements both internally within Research Department and also through external contractors (CROs, CMOs and Consultants)
- Jointly with Heads of Projects and Finance/Administration plans and modifies budget proposals and time lines for pre-clinical projects
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of relevant contemporary scientific / technological developments
- Collaborates with Regulatory Affairs and QA Managers to achieve regulatory compliance objectives and the agreed quality features of the pre-clinical developmental processes

Deputy Manager R+D phytopharmaca (Switzerland) Job Requirements
PROFILE:
- University degree in pharmaceutics or chemistry
- Sound knowledge in phytopharmaca development
- Experience in cooperation with contract manufacturers
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:This position requires 8+ years of pertinent experience, at least 5 of them spent in development and/or production of phytopharmaca.
