Field Service Engineer Job Description

The organization develops and assembles PVD and PACVD coating installations. Because of the way of working in projects, every employee will be involved in the full process, from design to installation. Our machines operate e.g. with vacuum, sputter and arc evaporation technologies and they are built customer specifically, which makes all jobs challenging and varied.
 
What characterises this job?
As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for solving problems, performing maintenance and installing upgrades at customers sites worldwide. You see it as a challenge to keep customers satisfied. Besides giving good service that also means providing the customer in a correct knowledge transfer and being a good listener towards the customer. Subsequently you give feedback to your own colleagues concerning specific customers wishes and technical developments. When you aren’t occupied with service tasks, you will assist your colleagues from the Customer Support department and when necessary the Production department. You will report to the Manager Customer Support.

What do we ask?

• You have a bachelor degree, preferably in electrical techniques.
• Also you have several years of work experience in a similar job.
• You have an independent and firm personality.
• Further you have a great sense of responsibility, good analytical skills, feeling for commercial aspects, organisational talent and a customer focused and representative attitude.
• You speak and write fluently Dutch and English and preferably German.
• Other cultures and international communication challenge you.
• Finally you are prepared to travel world wide for 50% or more.
• The actual amount of travelling however depends on the amount of incoming orders and work.
