Process Technologist/Validation Specialist, Novozymes Biopharma UK Ltd (Maternity Cover)
For our subsidiary, Novozymes Biopharma UK Ltd, Located in Nottingham UK, we wish to recruit a Process Technologist/Validation Specialist to cover maternity leave of 1 year (after which a permanent position may be available). In this position, you will be part of our Technical Support and Validation team, supporting the efficient operation, and maintaining the continued validated status, of our FDA & MHRA inspected large-scale biopharmaceutical production facility.
Challenges
The demand for our established and pipeline recombinant protein APIs is growing rapidly, driving the need to increase the intensity of operation, productivity and efficiency of our production facility. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and driven to seek out and implement improvements to our operations while maintaining cGMP compliance and process robustness. To support development of our new product pipeline we also anticipate challenging opportunities for technology transfer, and pilot-scale GMP manufacturing to provide material to meet our partners’ clinical development programmes.

As the ideal candidate, you have a first degree and post-graduate qualification in Life Sciences, Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or related discipline which should include knowledge and experience of biotechnological unit operations, processes and validation within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industries. You should possess an awareness of cGMPs relevant to API manufacture. Experience in process modelling and statistical analysis would be an advantage.
