The Department:
Within the engineering group of Lely Industries the Lely Astronaut Milking Robot is developed. The Department is concerned with verifying improvements and innovations of the machines and the software.

Because of strong growth of the Organization for the Engineering Department we are looking for a
Software Test Engineer (m/f) (40 hours, location, Rotterdam).

The function:
You are responsible for the technical and functional testing of embedded software. By means of testing you determine the quality of this software. Testing is partly in the test lab and partly on one of our test farms running.

Main activities:

• Designing test plans and run test scripts;
• The development of test methods and written and oral reporting of test results;
• On the basis of the test results, improvements and innovations, to underpin the quality and ensuring a quiet rollout;
• As sparringspartner with Software Engineers collaborate and determine in consultation solution directions;
• Reviewing and assessing the designs, drawings and the various manuals.

Software Test Engineer (m/f) Job Requirements

Your background:

• Bachelor/Master level, direction Informatics, dairy farming background is an advantage;
• Demonstrable affinity with Automation;
• You are independent, accurate, stress-resistant, flexible, creative, results-oriented and analytical;
• Excellent social and communication skills;
• A good command of the Dutch and English language, in word and writing, is a must.
