Teammanager Embedded Software (m/f) Job Description

The department:
The engineering department is responsible for the (continuous) development of a.o. forage harvesting products, robotic milking systems, feeding systems and other products. The department consists of very practical engineers and a working area and test department which can immediately build the developed concepts and test these in practice. As part of this team, you will be responsible for several products which are either developed for the first time or which need to be developed further based on existing concepts.

Due to strong growth of our organisation we are looking for a Teammanager Embedded Software (m/f) (40 hours, location Rotterdam).
 
In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to revive the machine by helping to bring together different disciplines.

The function:
You will be responsible for the technical design of a machine or (sub) system, with a focus on embedded software. You will be managing a team van (senior) software engineers.

Main tasks:

• Managing a team of maximum 10 (senior) software engineers;
• Monitoring the quality and quantity of the individual team members’ work, taking their capacities into account;
• Letting (continuously) develop the systems and solutions, based on determined specifications;
• (Letting) find creative solutions for sometimes challenging problems;
• Looking together at the design and programming, providing (technical) input in order to find great solutions.

Teammanager Embedded Software (m/f) Job Requirements

Your background:

• Bachelor or Master degree; Technical Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering (or similar education);
• Several years of management experience within a technical environment;
• You are a people manager with excellent communication skills in English (Dutch language is a plus);
• Analytical skills and a proactive attitude;
• Flexible and results-oriented;
• Experience with applying the lean philosophy in a R&D-environment is a plus.
