Illustrator Production Engineer Job Description

The Department:
The Illustrator Production Engineer is employed within the Grassland Machinery business unit. This Business Unit contains two active production teams, together 70 FTE. Beside this the Business Unit has the departments Logistics and Warehouse, Expedition, Quality and Planning.

Because of strong growth of the organization we are looking for a Production Engineer (m/f) (40 hours, location Maassluis).

The function:
The Illustrator Production Engineer is responsible for producing work instructions through illustrations and standard work of machinery on the base of poke yoke, and is responsible for increasing the productivity and flexibility of the production process. The work of the Illustrator Production Engineer consist of running, proposing and optionally directing improvement projects with the aim of reducing the production cost/time and/or improve the quality of ' existing ' machines.

Main activities:

• Defining and improving the standard times and the default process and work instructions with corollary setting up standard work;
• Improve the layout of assembly lines (detail design workplace);
• Optimizing the working methods/instructions;
• Improve logistics conditions (packaging material);
• Developing and selecting (auxiliary) tools and/or resources;
• Composing, review and updating of illustrations, standard work of assemblies and machines,
• Authenticating supplied information on accuracy,
• Make Illustrations and Documents print-ready,
• Doing adjustment proposals of existing design to team leaders and possibly adjust production in consultation itself;
• Developing of auxiliary tools (ergonomics, safety and productivity);
• The development of packaging materials for large components for a higher load factor of transport;
• The search for production automation;
• Improving packaging method (assurance quality during storage (outside) and transport).
• Guiding 0-series construction;
• The provision of CAD work, format of work instructions, etc.;
• Unit Cost Calculation.

Illustrator Production Engineer Job Requirements

Your background:

• A rounded technical Bachelor degree;
• A number of years work experience in a similar function;
• Knowledge of reading, creating and interpreting illustrations;
• Experience with character and layout programs (preferably FrameMaker, Illustrator, and ISO-draw);
• Experience with a CAD system (Pro-Engineer) is an advantage;
• Excellent in the Dutch, English and German language, spoken and written;
• Knowledge of MS Office and experience with RP systems (preferably Movex).
