Role Overview
This post is based in Darlington and is located in the Energy Services Business Unit of the Consulting and Engineering Division.

You will be accountable to the Operations Manager and will ensure Delivery of Engineering Design deliverables to safety, quality, cost and time parameters including the management of discipline engineers and interdisciplinary coordination.

General Discipline Manager roles and responsibilities will include:-

• Management of discipline Engineers
• Quality and safety of designs
• Adherence to and development of Procedures/Standards
• Support and development of resources
• Preparing Manhour estimates for work
• Maintaining Manhour &Schedule performance
• Managing & attending SHE Reviews
• Interdisciplinary design coordination

Piping & Mechanical Discipline Manager Job Requirements

• Engineering experience in the onshore oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, renewable, power or nuclear sectors.
• Team Leader with good communication skills.
• Appropriate engineering degree qualified with chartered status.
• Ability to work across engineering disciplines and understand / advise on Safety, Health & issues.
• Sufficient knowledge of construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and demolition to be able to accommodate into the design
• Experience of interfacing with clients.
