As a Process Engineer Equipment Controls you are technically responsible to develop the EOL hardware and software architecture. In this position you are part of the Process Engineering team and you report to the Manager Advanced Process Engineering.
As a Process Engineer Equipment Controls your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Setup and architecture of test station electronic hardware;
- Define (test) requirements for new test station;
- Participate in ProcessFMEA sessions for test station and equipment controls;
- Develop test station hardware architecture mainly based on PXI hardware, peripheral equipment and PLC;
- Draw up a technical document with the required hardware components, pin assignments and other requirements for our line supplier;
- Review suppliers electrical drawing and define potential problems and incorrectnesses;
- Perform IO tests on test station hardware;
- Define open issue list for supplier to solve the problems in the hardware (wiring, electrical cabinets, etc.);
- Responsible for test station LabVIEW software (functionality, architecture, robustness/stability);
- Development, testing and delivering of FlexCoM for all new projects (LIN and CAN communication module);
- Manage joined software development projects with external parties;
- Develop, debug and continuously improve test station software in the project phase;
- Validate software with internal customers;
- Write user documentation and prepare trainings;
- Define a road map for future developments;
- Research for alternative equipment controls architectures and the possibilities to increase the number of in-sourced activities;
- Start pilot project for new standard modules.

What do we expect from you?
- You have a finished degree in Mechatronics / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering on a BsC or MSC level.
- Automotive experience is a plus but not always necessary.
- We do expect you to have knowledge of LabVIEW, End of line test stations, State of the art machine controls systems and Database systems for data logging.
- As a professional you focus on results and you are able to manage your planning and set priorities.
- As the automotive industry is focused on Quality you are as well.
- Therefore you bring good problem solving skills with a pragmatic and pro-active approach.
