An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a global market leader in the manufacture and supply of rotating machinery. The company has a focus on excellence and innovation in their product and processes, and is looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineer who can join a rapidly expanding organisation with an international reputation for delivering manufacturing excellence through innovative technology.
The Role
The Mechanical Engineer will be working in the aftermarket department and will be responsible for directly dealing with the company's international customer base to resolve obsolescence, maintenance or repair issues. Working alongside the service engineering team, you will be communicating details of servicing requirements and advising on technical solutions relating to rotating machinery. The role will also involve completing some detailed design modification on current components using 2D/3D Cad or FEA software. The Mechanical Engineer will be liaising with numerous internal departments and as a result will gain exposure to a lot of different areas of the business.
The Candidate
You will be educated to degree or equivalent level in mechanical engineering or another related engineering discipline. Experience in the maintenance, repair or servicing of mechanical machinery (preferably rotating machinery) is required. You will have knowledge of 2D/3D CAD and FEA software and have the ability to confidently work with both international customers and internal teams. This would be an ideal role for a graduate, as you will gain exposure to a lot of different areas of the business and there are excellent opportunities for progression.
