Where you will work
Asset Optimization and Trading (AOT) is the Business Division where all Asset Optimization and Trading activities are centralized for the Vattenfall Group. Our activities are multi-site located across Europe with more than 600 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. We trade the full range of energy commodities such as electricity, gas, oil, coal, freight, renewable energies and emissions, take responsibility for a diversified sourcing of power, fuels and carbon credits and optimise the running and hedging of Vattenfall's generation assets. These efforts are the basis for maximum profitability and continuous business growth.
For this department, we are currently looking for:
Application support - Energy Trade and Risk Management (ETRM)
Your main activities will be to support the trading system and applications relevant to the trading system.
You will enter the world of commodity trading. We have a very complex IT Landscape. Also, we work with multiple locations, in other words cooperation in the team is done over three countries. The main location for this position is Amsterdam and travel activities are low as most of the team meetings are facilitated with technology like video conferencing. In short, you will become active in a complex and challenging environment.
What you will do
Within the team you will have multiple responsibilities. Most importantly, you will build up competence in ETRM. Also, you will be part of the AOT ETRM team and your activities will be maintenance and projects.
We will look to you to find IT solutions for business changes around the Trading. You'll be involved in the design, development and maintenance of crucial IT systems to facilitate the trading & risk processes, optimize the value of our plants, and integrate different systems. Eventually, you will coordinate or support the total IT process from Design to Operations. And you'll start to become a knowledge expert for a set of trading and risk management applications.
