Strategy is looking for a Gas Strategy Advisor to work in the Gas Competence Centre. This position reports to the Director of the Gas Competence Centre.
Job Description
Staff Function (SF) Strategy's main responsibility is to develop Vattenfall's Strategic Direction. This includes identifying and resolving strategic issues and developing and proposing the Corporate Strategic Plan and capital allocation for the Group. Additionally, SF Strategy will support the BDs/BUs to develop their business strategies. SF Strategy will also continuously provide support to the EGM and BD/BU management regarding decisions related to strategic issues and other important business cases. To accomplish these tasks SF Strategy manages the Group-wide Strategy Development process, which includes the Long term Market Outlook and the Corporate Portfolio Analysis.
The unit Gas Comptence Centre (GCC) is one of seven departments within SF Strategy. GCC's main responsibilities are to develop gas strategic input in the Vattenfall Long-Term Market Outlook (LTMO), and to identify and address key strategic issues in gas in the Vattenfall business in cooperation with relevant business units. These tasks include leading cross-business projects on specific gas topics and participating in the Long-Term Market Outlook development process.
As a member of the strategy team "Gas Competence Centre” within the staff function strategy you will be responsible for identifying and developing deep dives on key strategic issues in European and global gas markets. You will contribute to the identification and solution of strategic challenges in Vattenfall's gas business in close cooperation with departments across the business. You will be involved in relevant corporate strategic projects, and support the development of the corporate strategic plan.
You will be responsible for very close cooperation with other departments across the business. At least for the upcoming months you will be partly responsible for the supervision of an intern and the successful close of his thesis.
