Responsibilities & accountabilities:
● Lab work:
Support the development, improvement and implementation new and existing masterbatch products that fulfill the requirements of the market needs according the business strategy within a set timeframe. Tasks include but are not limited to: evaluating performance by analysis of physical properties & simulation of customer processes (pilot lines) according to test plans. After critical evaluation of results, logging of findings in lab report and discuss with different stakeholders.
● Equipment responsibility:
Take ownership off designated equipment/pilot lines. Ensuring calibration, SOP, CAPEX, maintenance are up to date and in accordance with Operational Excellence, quality and safety standards. This includes the planning & organization of pilot lines, requiring a high level of autonomy.
● Continuous improvement:
Expand knowledge by following up on new developments in the field of additives, resins and analysis of application methods & testing, by attending the team meetings, reading literature, attending webinars and internal and external trainings. Pro-actively formulate proposals for improvement in the field of HSE, methods and team spirit to the lab manager.
● Projects:
Can take on a project related to alternative raw materials with guidance of PAD engineer, independently to adjust the (pilot) equipment or installation of new equipment or HSE related improvements.
Profile:
● Master in Sciences or Industrial Engineering
● Extended knowledge of additives, polymers & physical property testing
● Critical, Accurate, Precise & Analytical mindset
● Strong organizational skills with a drive for results
● Excellent pro-active & independent work attitude
● Teamplayer with a practical, constructive mindset that can multitask easily
● Demonstrating commitment, motivation & ownership
● Fluent in English and Dutch
