Function
As a developer in virtual and augmented reality:
·         You implement the AR/VR technology in demonstrators and real life applications;
·         You work together in a team which combines expertise in the organisation of the “Workplace of the Future” with multi-media devices;
·         You work together with the partners in the industry and universities and the research engineers in our sites in Lommel, Kortijk and Leuven;
·         With the team you figure out solutions to support the design of the workplace using augmented reality; you set-up VR training environments and you develop and test AR solutions to support operators during their tasks (C#, Unity, Unreal, Blender,...).
·         You actively trace and present industrial challenges and research opportunities.


Functieomschrijving
Als ontwikkelaar in virtual & augmented reality :
·         Implementeer je AR/VR-technologie in demonstratietoestellen en real-life-toepassingen;
·         Werk je samen met onze partners in de industrie en universiteiten en met de onderzoeksingenieurs in onze vestigingen in Lommel, Kortrijk en Leuven;Werk je samen in een team met expertise in de organisatie van de “werkplaats van de toekomst” en in multimedia-apparaten;
·         Samen bouw je VR-trainingsomgevingen en ontwikkel je AR-oplossingen om operatoren bij hun taken te ondersteunen (C#, Unity, Unreal, Blender,...). Voor het ontwerp van nieuwe werkplaatsen werk je oplossingen uit om de werkcel en het werk van de operator te simuleren en te optimaliseren rekening houdend met ergonomische, logistieke e.a. aspecten.
·         Spoor je actief industriële uitdagingen en researchopportuniteiten op en stel je ze ook voor.

Profile
You have :
·         Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant domain;
·         Reliable expertise in setting up augmented or virtual reality applications;
·         Interest and competence to work together in a multidisciplinary team and with partners in the industry and universities;
·         At least 4 years of relevant experience, eg. in (software for) AR developments;
·         Any experience in new technology projects for industry is highly valued, especially for operator information systems.
 
You are :
·         Passionate about new technologies;
·         A listening ear for industrial needs;
·         A team player who can build sustainable relationships with all the partners and colleagues;
·         Empathic and interested in the operators and their wellbeing;
·         Eager to learn.


Profiel
Wij zoeken een leergierige kandidaat met:
·         Passie voor nieuwe technologieën en een relevant Bachelor- of Masterdiploma op zak;
·         Expertise in het opzetten van AR- of VR-toepassingen;
·         Minstens 4 jaar relevante ervaring, bijvoorbeeld in (software voor) AR ontwikkelingen;
·         Ervaring in technologieprojecten voor real-life-toepassingen en/of in operatorondersteuning in de maakindustrie is een sterke troef;
·         Een luisterend oor voor industriële behoeften. Je wil en kan duurzame relaties opbouwen binnen een multidisciplinair team en met partners in de industrie en binnen universiteiten;
·         Een goede dosis empathie en interesse in operatoren en hun welzijn.
