Senior Reliability Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) Job Description
About the role:
As a Senior Reliability Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of our Core Operations Team. You will work within the product development teams throughout the product development process while ensuring operations needs and requirements are built into new products and any future product changes.
Your future tasks:
- You will support the deployment of Design for Six Sigma by creating training content, delivering training, mentoring and coaching for all levels of the organization
- By utilizing Design for Six Sigma tools and methodologies on projects, you will ensure operations needs and requirements are built into new products
- You will coach and mentor internal stakeholders on proper DFSS method and tool selection and application on existing projects
- Another part of your tasks will be to lead and attend Cross Functional Team Product Design meetings and link new product activity between various global engineering groups as required
- You will also lead COGs and Tolerance analysis with required functions
- In order to determine product direction, you will implement, interpret, correlate and communicate statistical studies performed on manufacturing processes or designs and review engineering experiments
- Generally, you will lead tasks within the PDP while following West’s standards for Project Governance Management and Quality Systems requirements
- You will provide product support to existing facilities production line for continuous improvement and best practice alignment
Senior Reliability Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/d) Job Requirements
What you bring with you:
- You own a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality Field in Biomechanical or Mechanical Engineering
- You bring at least 8 years of professional working experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical, packaging, or technological industry
- You possess a Design for Six Sigma Green Belt and demonstrate significant experience in DFSS tools and methodologies
- You are experienced in product development from concept to launch, the development of training materials and the training and application of applied statistics and know parts manufacturing processes, ancillary equipment, robots and automation systems well
- You are familiar with FDA requirements for a Corrective and Preventive Action Process as well as US and international medical device quality system regulations and standards (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485)
- You are able to work independently on your own projects in close collaboration with other departments, sites and stakeholders
- You possess strong prioritization skills and describe yourself as detail oriented as well as self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills while dealing with all levels of employees as well as the ability to accurately document work performed round off your profile
