Design Engineer Job Description

Project Engineer
My Client is currently recruiting a mechanical engineer to oversee the implementation of new medical device products.

The role:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the successful implementation of new products. He/she will report to one of the Customer Focused Program Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage new product introduction in accordance with the NPI process.
• Complete initial project assessment, including specification review and developing financial and technical information.
• Technical contact with the customer to optimise product design.
• Develop and deliver prototype products promptly and to high quality standards.
• Design and introduce manufacturing processes for new products and products to meet demands of productivity and quality.
• Deliver fully validated processes with all necessary documentation and compile a product history file.

Design Engineer Job Requirements

Key Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification.
• 5 yrs+ experience in medical device development.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Motivated with an ability to work on own initiative
