Mechanical Design Engineer - Fulltime Job Description

You will lead your design all the way through production. Starting from scratch to the moment the equipment leaves our factory, witnessing your design come to life.

About the role
Your work is centered around the process of designing equipment solutions. From a blank sheet to a 3D design, you drive the a to z process to create full functional technical solutions exceeding customer’s expectations every day.

You won’t do this alone. Delivering ambitious projects like ours require close teamwork. As member of the multidisciplinary project-team’s you collaborate closely with colleagues from other engineering departments.

Taking full ownership of the mechanical design process, you assure alignment with other disciplines, the requirements and specifications of our clients and branch specific regulations in the Pharmaceutical and Bio- Tech industry.

Responsibilities

• Define technical requirements in collaboration with the senior- and project engineers.
• Support the project engineer in defining and executing projectplans for your specific discipline.
• Concept designing.
• Own the full-cycle design processes of the assigned projects.
• Coordinate, mentor, and instruct your team.
• Supervise and check the validity and functionality of the final design, considering the functional specifications, quality, and costs.
• Report on design process and propose improvements on efficiency and quality of products and processes.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Fulltime Job Requirements

What do you bring?

• A technical bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or similar level acquired through experience).
• 5+ years of working experience in a similar position.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of multiple fields of engineering (i.e., mechatronics-, electrical-, and/or software engineering).
• Experience in 2D and 3D equipment designing.
• Broad knowledge of material properties applicable in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Verbal and written proficiency in (technical) English is required, any proficiency in Dutch would be considered a plus.
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
