What will be your role?
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be an intermediary in the field between the Lely Centers (sales channel) in your region (Cluster) and the head-office (Lely International) for the division barn and feeding. In this case your focus will be on cluster Asia, but you will be working from Maassluis, The Netherlands. To make sure you understand and help these Lely Centers properly, we want you to be native in Japanese or Korean. You will ensure that Lely Center service engineers are thoroughly trained in the correct installation of Lely products, the service and maintenance and the remedying of any technical challenges. For every update or new product, you will be among the first to observe and validate. Thereafter, it will be your responsibility to make sure that all relevant technical expertise is made available to the Lely Center service engineers. You will therefore frequently visit the Lely Centers in your region to conduct training courses and to coach and advise the Service Managers. In addition, you will keep head-office informed of any frequently occurring technical failures, and suggestions for technical improvements passed on by both engineers and customers, to facilitate ongoing product development and improvement.
As the first Technical Support Specialist in the Cluster, you proactively support all Technical Service Support colleagues in your region. You take care of all technical challenges that can’t be dealt with by others in the Cluster and Lely Center Organisation. You will be part of the service hotline. In the event of a failure, an engineer is called to remedy it, but if the issue is too technical, you will be called. If that doesn't work, you will be called; the next step being the technical department at head-office. As you will be working from the head office, you will be very close to the source of information. However, you regard the solving of technical issues as a challenge, and you will carry on just as long as it takes to realise a solution.
Qualifications
You are a technical expert who is able to communicate your expertise to the engineers with enthusiasm, while at the same time retrieving any information from them that might make our products even better. You are good at the sort of persistent enquiry needed to exclude certain issues and reach a solution.
