Who is Mews?
We want to get to know you, so it’s only fair we tell you a little bit about ourselves first. We were founded in 2012 by a team of former hoteliers, and since then we’ve been transforming hospitality for both hotel staff and guests.
Essentially, Mews is a powerful software platform that acts as a central nervous system for hotels, hostels, apartments and more. We use smart tech and automation to make day-to-day operations easier for hoteliers, so they can focus on the thing that really matters: providing remarkable guest experiences.
More than 2,000 properties across 60+ countries are powered by Mews, with more joining every week. Bookings, payments, operations, guest management – everything a hotel needs to operate can be done through our solution. We work with some amazing hotels, including Sage Hospitality Group, Machefert Group, The Student Hotel, and Tsogo Sun Hotels.

About the role
As the Senior Agile Coach you are deeply committed to delivering value to our customers (hotel guests, properties and partners). You build and evolve consistent Agile practices and standards, and influence the vision, strategic decisions, solutions, and priorities. You support the discovery and delivery teams to reinforce agile behaviors, practices and principles in the day-to-day work. You are dedicated to helping the R&D (aka P&T) team grow and develop in our agile capabilities, ensuring alignment on the work performed. You are also an instrumental contributor to cross-functional and cross-enterprise strategic planning and execution, helping to drive innovation and deliver value.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
You design, develop and facilitate training of Agile and Lean practices for sprint teams. You perform evaluations and reviews of processes and methodologies. You identify strengths and continuous improvement recommendations within a Dual Track Agile framework. All the while valuing lean experimentation and continuous discovery over sticking to a plan.
You collaborate on org design and workforce planning to identify talent needs. You recruit and onboard talent, and then contribute to strategic resource planning and talent allocation across R&D.
In this role, you will proactively partner with leadership to influence strategic decisions and priorities and remove impediments to delivering value.

With a rapidly expanding global property base, payments platform and marketplace, it underscores our need for scale and efficiency in order to best support those we serve.
About You
You are a change agent who challenges status quo, breaking through constraints to achieve better outcomes. You coach, mentor and empower R&D team members and cross-Mews business leaders on product management, design thinking, and engineering culture. You embrace servant leadership and understand engineering practices to serve as a role model for the team to model Agile behaviors and a product mindset.
You deeply care about nurturing and developing a team of Agile coaches, and you enjoy taking on the challenge of building your team.
