Senior Software Developer - 11 Month Contract - Galway

The company needs a person who loves to program, loves the software business, has an affinity for manufacturing and e-delivery, and likes new challenges. The company is implementing a new customer and partner facing system at the same time they are expanding their manufacturing capabilities to new regions, and you'll be working on the mission-critical infrastructure that supports software licensing supply chain. You'll be a part of an international, smart, energized team of people.    

As Software Engineer you will be responsible for implementing web services and new functionality for their software licensing applications. You will participate in cross organizational programs through participation in and coordination of multiple projects across worldwide supply chains and external partners:  

The Role: 

• Participate to business requirements definitions with product engineers, product marketing, or business teams
• Define technical solutions following our IT standards
• Formalize specifications, do development, perform integration testing
• Train application support team and provide support to business operations when needed
• Ensure business testing is completed, plan the move to production and get it done 
• Be the business contact for infrastructure teams (mandated IT projects/upgrade/patches

Senior Software Developer - Contract Job Requirements

Qualifications/Experience: 

• Strong practical experience in web services (SOAP, WSDL) that are Java based. J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB),
• Technical knowledge and experience in some or all of the following areas; 

• Project management - Worldwide programs
• Communication (Product Engineer - Product Marketing - External partners - Production Engineer)
• Fluent English 
• Licensing business mechanisms and technologies knowledge a plus
• Demonstrates leadership in the development of technical innovations and in ensuring optimum collaboration and knowledge sharing of technical insights 
• Demonstrates motivation to build deeper technical depth in area-of-expertise, and inform that knowledge base through understanding of associated areas 
• Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization
