We are an independent full system supplier of fuel-efficient powertrains. With over 45 years of experience in the production of CVTs, Punch Powertrain also offers electric powertrains for New Energy Vehicles such as Hybrids (48V &PHEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs), as well as conventional DCTs.

Punch Powertrain is an international player, with a strong presence in Europe and China. In addition to the headquarter in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, the company runs 6 more R&D centers, located in Germany (2), France (1), the Netherlands (1) and China (1), allowing close cooperation with the customer and short communication lines. Economies of scale are achieved by concentrating production in 3 facilities in Belgium and China.
 
Within Punch Powertrain we are looking for an Product Validation. Are you used to the technical complexity of powertrain systems, can you convince your colleague’s to do it in an other way and are you experienced enough to decide which validations are applicable, can be combined or even which we need to get rid off, then this can be your job.

General
As a Product validation engineer in Punch Powertrain you have the challenge to overview and streamline all the validation and verification activities for DCT and/or EV products. You will be part of the validation and testing department and have multidisciplinary interaction with R&D Engineers on functionality and design of the system.
 
Job description 

• You will develop strategies for product Verification and Validation resulting in a V&V plan;  
• Together with the validation engineers, you will define the V&V actions necessary to assure the quality of our products;
• You will oversee and direct the V&V process for different projects, including simulation and test development, reviews, implementation and execution;
• You will align the V&V activities over the project teams, combine where possible the different V&V actions and based on risk evaluation determine the correct priorities;
• You will drive the integration of simulation and physical testing activities, reducing the V&V effort and time and increasing product understanding;
• You will drive standardization and create standard validation and verification plans for different product groups;
• You will participate in estimation and schedule of the V&V effort;
• You will be responsible for a good communication flow with all the stakeholders.

Product Validation Engineer Fulltime Job Requirements

Profile

•  You have a master degree in engineering (electromechanical or mechanical);
• You have thorough knowledge and experience in the field of system validation and testing. (Preferably 5 years in Powertrains);
• You are an independent, perseverant and systematic worker with a goal-oriented and analytical mindset;
• You are familiar with the automotive product creation processes;
• Knowledge of transmissions is an advantage;
• Thanks to your strong communication skills and good knowledge of English, you excel at teamwork and are proficient in reporting knowledge and results;
• You have good organizational skills and can be persuasiveness.
