The Blackwood Seven Germany GmbH (formerly Booming GmbH) has years of expertise in media planning and implementation of online and offline advertising campaigns for many german and international customers. The core business of Blackwood Seven is its media analytics platform, which models KPI-focused transparent and accurate predictions for effective campaigns.
Our global headquarter is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Munich office, with about 50 employees, is responsible for consulting, media buying and campaign implementation. The newly created Media Intelligence department focusses on predictive modelling aiming at data-based optimization of the media investments for our customers. Model development and knowledge transfer is done in close collaboration and communication with our international colleagues.
Data Scientist - Inhouse (f/m)
We are currently offering a permanent position in full-time as data scientist - inhouse - (f/m)
Roles and responsibilities
- Development of customer-specific, hierarchical Bayesian models for cross-media campaign planning
- Implementation and configuration of data analysis algorithms and the presentation of results in suitable visualizations
- Requirement gathering and identification of data-driven optimization possibilities of promotional activities of our customers, based on the close cooperation with experienced (inhouse) media planners
- Identification of relevant data, data exploration and development of optimized data models that lead to marketing-relevant findings
- Specifying requirements for data management, data quality and IT infrastructure to promote the automation of corporate operations
Data Scientist - Inhouse (f/m) Job Requirements
Job profile
- University degree (preferably PhD) in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, biology or a comparable quantitative field from an excellent university. In addition, you have published your work in scientific journals
- Expert in R programming language, or a comparable statistical language
- Desire to deepen your R proficiency
- Several years of experience in the analysis of real data in one or more of the following areas: Machine learning, data mining, time series analysis or computational statistics
- Solid programming skills, which help you to solve complex challenges in the analysis and processing of data
- Deep skepticism and the ability to expose false assumptions and analyses
- Very good German and English language skills
- Advantageous but not required: industry knowledge in marketing (online/offline)
