Senior Technical Project Manager Core Services Job Description

The Core Services team is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to help plan, build and scale the critical foundational systems that Core Services owns.  In this role you will be partnering with development teams and product management to build the project roadmap, coordinate project planning, create schedules, communicate on progress and deliverables and drive projects to completion.  This is a critical role that will have visible impact on the success of Big Fish.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination, communication and dependency management at the team and initiative level within the engineering organization.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately.
• Oversee team workflow processes and work to keep them consistent.
• Gathers and documents project data metrics to feedback to teams for improvement.
• Manages and documents the project timeline and milestones.
• Manages dependencies between engineering teams and between other dependent areas in the company.
• Facilitates and organizes initiative planning meetings where teams work out the tasks and timeline for initiatives.
• Drives blocking issues to resolution to keep the teams progressing.
• Participate in strategic planning and long term project roadmap creation for engineering.

Senior Technical Project Manager Core Services Job Requirements

Skills, experience and educational requirements:
 

• 7+ years experience managing complex technical projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and follow through.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company, from senior management to individual contributors.
• Experience utilizing various project management methodologies, tools and techniques including agile methodologies.
• Able to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects at one time with a track record of successful delivery.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Possess a high level understanding of web technologies and systems.
• A sense of humor and a positive attitude.
• A Bachelors degree required.

• Previous experience in a QA or development role working on internet products or technologies.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Technical understanding of time travel and engineer cloning technology to help speed product development J
