Production Research Scientist/Specialist (f/m)
to be located in Szeged, Hungary  

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in design, planning and execution of production research projects to optimize corn, sunflower and oilseed rape seed production in European environments;
• Execution of an annual research project plan aligned with the European crop program;
• Provide technical support and production instructions to Operation Department to enable reliable production of parent, hybrid and open pollinator seed;
• Coordinate and supervise the local activities of the future Production Research Technicians Team and temporary personnel and work with members of the European Operations Team to leverage best practices across growing areas;
• Represents DAS as a subject matter expert to ensure proper handling of DAS germplasm in the industry;
• Develop and deliver planting recommendation, observation data and best management practices to enable successful inbred and hybrid / open pollinator seed production; 

Production Research Scientist/Specialist-1302912 Job Requirements

Requirements: 

• University degree in agricultural engineering, agronomy, plant breeding, plant physiology  or other related technical disciplines;
• Broad technical knowledge of agronomy and/or plant breeding;
• Ability to develop and lead projects and project teams within assigned geographies;
• Personal leadership, interpersonal effectiveness, and organizational skills. Ability to take personal initiative and work effectively in teams;
• Demonstrated analysis skills with experience in summarizing research trial results;
• Strong communication skills to transfer knowledge across broad audiences in the global network and within the region;
• Readiness to attend frequent business trips;
• Languages: Hungarian and English mandatory
