The Centre for Robot Technology in Odense, which is part of the Danish Technological Institute, develops, optimises and uses innovative robotics solutions. We need you, who as a consultant are creative and application-oriented with new ideas for technology-based solutions based on computer vision and other sensor technologies. You have commitment, experience and a desire to participate in development projects and customer assignments in cooperation with leading European companies and research institutions. 

Research, development and entrepreneurship
You will be included in all our business areas and your work will be within the following areas:

• Participation in research and development projects
• Customer contact and sale of assignments to private companies and government agencies
• Creativity, new ideas and preparing applications
• Building demonstrations and prototypes
• Implementation - from concept to commissioning - of highly automated robotics systems
• Communication; use and dissemination of accumulated expertise and knowledge to users
• Guiding students in the implementation of research and development projects
• Preparing articles for scientific conferences and for news and professional media
• Establishing and developing networks for international research and innovation partners

You will work closely with project managers, customers and cooperation partners, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new projects. The Centre for Robot Technology
You will be a part of a centre with 40 committed colleagues, who develop and implement new technologies in existing and new products in the following six business areas; the manufacturing and food processing, the health and welfare sector, green robots in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and gardening, architecture, construction and performative space, and within the gaming, teaching and experience industries. We cooperate with business and research partners, we fundraise and write project applications and we design and demonstrate solutions. We also test, measure and document effects. We use knowledge that is unique in the world, and we spread robot technology to new fields through communication and network development on many fronts.

Background in computer vision
You are most likely a trained engineer, preferably at the Ph.D. level, with a background in computer vision, and with relevant work experience. You have a strong knowledge and interest in some of these areas: Real-time tracking, 3D imaging, scanning, camera technique, models and calibration, industrial machine vision, machine learning.

You are familiar with the following programming languages: C++, C, OpenCV, GPGPU, CUDA, Octave and commercial CV libraries.
