Beside your contribution in continuously improving goods flow processes, you drive actively containments and structural solutions of (goods) material movements (focus on material returns) in cooperation with the responsible line management. Those activities lead to structural OPEX cost reduction and logistic infrastructure improvements with direct impact on our process quality and parts quality.
Job Description
As a Competence Engineer 3 within the SCM LSO GF&RP department, you are responsible for:
-Driving material grading and dispositioning for material returns to ensure fast solutions
-Act as business interface to main stakeholders (BL’s, D&E) to ensure that the results of return material assessments are aligned with the business priorities
-Defining, driving and implementing structural improvements direct and also via cross-sector projects in SCM which resulting in structural Service OPEX reductions
-Be able to work in a pragmatic way with all ASML product related materials and the related IT systems containing the material related technical product documentation
-Developing and supplying analyses, knowledge and expertise on the SCM logistics processes
-Implement improved processes locally including training of related personal
-Learn to use and apply network modelling tooling to develop ideas on return of material flow improvements, support the implementation and setup valuable performance tracking
-Be able to train others to make them understand the consequence and impact of the changes
You will support the SCM department and you will work closely together with all relevant stakeholders throughout ASML, depending on specific subjects. You will report to lead of LSO GF&RP and you are part of the process engineering & quality team.
Education
Bachelor or Master in business engineering, industrial engineering, operational management, supply chain management, quality or logistics.
Experience
- 8+ years’ experience in operational logistics & engineering or supply chain, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume production environment.
-Good technical understanding of materials, parts and/or modules used in our ASML products.
-Basic experience to work with international logistic service providers and/or (material) suppliers.
-Hands-on experience in applying lean principles and effective change management.
-Experience with SAP, set-up, structure and applications of SAP.
-Apply the elements of the LEAN methodology.
-Plans, aligns, and ensures high quality of decisions and has situational adaptability (flexible).
-Strong drive to combine teaching & learning, process improvements and business results.
Context of the position
The LSO Goods Flow & Return Processing department within ASML Supply Chain Management provides professional services to ensure a structured, controlled and transparent flow of goods through our logistic network.
One part of the organization is process engineering & quality team, where a group of competence engineers working in SCM and cross-sector projects related to fault free and efficient goods movements.
This includes to pick up structural material (flow) related problems as well as the lead in pilot introduction of new or changed way-of-workings related to that.
Therein the main focus is on return of materials, to contain them and drive for solutions, together with the responsible line organization, all finally embedded in a structural manner.
The success of those improvements is monitored in cost saving opportunities, inventory reduction, efficiency in material repair & re-use and (finally) in OPEX reductions.
