Job Description
The OSE Performance Analyst:
Will design and organize large and complex data sets from varied sources, while thinking strategically about uses of data and issues such as scalability. You will deliver mathematical and statistical models with proven predictive power.
Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
-Understand existing business processes, dive into the underlying data, apply relevant Data Mining techniques and/or Machine Learning algorithms and propose data analytic product to improve the process intelligence
-Implement the applicable Machine Learning or statistics based algorithm for prediction and optimization
-Design, build and support algorithms of data transformation, conversion, computation on Hadoop and other distributed Big Data Systems
Education
Master degree of Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent
Experience
-5 or more years of relevant experience
-Excellent understanding (algorithm level) of machine learning, statistics, and optimization
-Experience with popular data analysis and machine learning libraries (sklearn, TensorFlow, H2O, MLlib, etc.)
-Familiar with Hadoop ecosystem and good understanding about its key components (HDFS, Hive, Pig, Spark, etc.)
-Hands-on experience on data analysis, machine learning modelling, and data visualization with large scale dataset in Hadoop system using Hive, Spark, MLlib, etc.
-Hands-on experience with different database architectures (SQL, NoSQL, Hive, HBase, etc.)
-Extensive knowledge of at least one scientific or statistical programming language such as Matlab, R or Python (must include SciPy, NumPy, Pandas)
-Prior work and/or research demonstrates experience in the following areas: data mining, pattern discovery, anomaly detection, root cause analysis

Context of the position
The sector Operations consists of Customer Service, Manufacturing and the supporting functions (Supply Chain Management, Integrated Business Planning, Corporate Real Estate, Environment Health & Safety and Operations Strategies & Excellence).
The role of the Operations Strategies & Excellence (OSE) department within Operations is to add Operational Excellence by:
-designing the long term Operations Strategy
-defining the sub-portfolios and strategic programs
-delivering and deploying the selected transformations.OSE develops and leverages Operations’ talents in ASML and strengthens the connections on strategic topics with other sectors in ASML, in particular Development & Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate functions and IT.
Other information
OSE is organized in different services and corresponding groups: ‘Design’, ‘Define’, ‘Deliver’, ‘Deploy’ and ‘Portfolio Office’.
The OSE Performance Management Analyst reports to the Head of the ‘Design’ group and will have interfaces with colleagues from the other groups within OSE and throughout the entire ASML organization, on all levels.
In this function, you will have no formal line responsibilities.
