Introduction

Job Description
The individual will be responsible for design/code/test of key modules of the software throughout the development cycle, ranging from specifying functional requirements by working with multi-disciplinary teams, outlining testing effort, to implementing the software and executing the testing steps to qualify the product, etc. The engineer will work closely with developers in development and engineering to create software that offers advanced diagnostic capability and fulfills the business needs.

Specific tasks may include:

• automating testing using Jenkins tools
• developing an automated way to merge changes to separate archives
• creating online testing which will be used to validate prospective candidates for software positions

Education
Third or fourth year student in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Will consider Electrical Engineering major who shows an aptitude for programming.
Preferred GPA 3.5 and above; minimum GPA 3.0

Experience

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• A passion for programming
• Proven ability writing C and C++, preferably in an embedded environment
• Experience or proven ability in designing complex software architecture
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python/Rubi
• Experience with scripting languages like  bash, tcsh, csh and perl, is a plus
• Experience with Unix programming, preferably on Linux, is a plus

• The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.
