Introduction
ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA.
Job Mission
We are looking for highly-talented and motivated individuals to join our Advanced Technology team. As Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for definition and execution of feasibility studies for new, ‘holistic’ application products that may bridge between simulation and wafer data, optical sensor metrology and modeling.
Job Description
As a Senior Design Engineer at ASML, you will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies of application products related to optical sensor simulations of wafer alignment and metrology overlay sensors as well as utilization of this information to improve quality of lithography system control. You will need to design, develop and realize tasks for feasibility studies which will involve setting up experiments, analyzing a large amount of senor measurement data and making a recommendation for ASML product portfolio. Optical simulation work will involve interacting with a large amount of data for which knowledge of data science techniques is preferred. In addition, you will be expected to interact with customers to understand issues and present new solutions. You will work closely with R&D, marketing, field application engineers and sales in ASML, prepare and present technical data and papers in major conferences and customers. Occasional overseas travel is required.
