This is the role
The TM/TS (technical materials/technical services) procurement department is part of the
global procurement and utilities organization. The TM/TS procurement department is
responsible for procuring everything what is related to maintenance of our three
production locations in the Netherlands. The team consists of 6 people who are
responsible for specific segments and activities. For the main service contracts like
scaffolding, insulation, painting, electrical and instrumentation we are looking for a senior
sourcing specialist who will take responsibility for the strategy of these contracts in the
coming years. Next to this local role the senior sourcing specialist will have an European
role as segment lead defining the procurement strategy for this segment in France,
Germany, Italy, UK and Spain.

Sr. Sourcing Specialist Job Requirements

This is who you are
You are a seasoned sourcing specialist who knows the chemical industry or related
industry. You have no trouble taking on responsibilties and handle different contracts
accordingly. Since you will be responsible for the sourcing strategy of a segment we
expect that you have experience in that field as well. We also expect you to present this
to different stakeholders and are able to find support for your strategy. For this role you
must also be analytical and a good planner. As a person we hope to find a colleague who
is willing to work hard, knows what he is talking about and likes working together with
the team.

This is what you bring 

• Bachelor's degree required (or recognized equivalent). Master’s degree preferred(or recognized equivalent).
• 6+ years related experience required with a degree (10 years in lieu of a degree);
• 3+ years of chemical or related industry experience and knowledge related to purchasing and materials management is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, in Technical or Business related
• positions preferred.
• Negotiations Skills
• Contract experience required
• SAP/Ariba knowledge and experience required
• Driver’s license
