Description
Vehicle Logistics Group (VLG) is responsible for the distribution of:
* Globally produced vehicles to our European markets/retailers.
* Locally produced vehicles to our global markets.
These vehicles arrive from the different manufacturing plants to our strategically located hubs (logistic centres) where they are stored, customized, inspected and transported to the next delivery point (port, intermediate compound or retailer).
All operations are completed by Logistics Providers (LP), with a team of Toyota members ensuring consistency of direction and the achievement of customer requirements.
Your responsibilities:
Vehicle Logistics is constantly seeking to challenge our 'Plant-to-Retailer' lead-time, improve our delivery performance and reduce cost through the application of Toyota Production System.
In order to support the above, you will be joining Operations Development - Workshop team and your main function will be to support the 3 of our Hubs in Europe to improve their customization operations in terms of Safety and Quality.
The main tasks you will be responsible for are:
* Communicate and train the Logistic Partner on Toyota Safety & Quality Standards
* Improve those standards in strong collaboration with our Logistics partners and their group leader/team leaders
* Ensure Safety and Quality is daily managed by the team on site
* Analyze, develop and implement any required structural countermeasures to improve Safety and Quality
* Ensure those countermeasures are sustained in the workshop through regular Audits
* Visualize Safety & Quality status and required actions on a regular basis to Management

Travel: 80% time
1. Background:
a. University Degree in Engineering
b. 1-3 years of relevant experience.
c. Practical Shop-floor experience.
2. Technical Skills:
a. Ability to think creatively and generate new ideas with deep analysis.
b. Result driven, problem solver with strong Excel/Access skills.
c. Capability to make decisions based for day-to-day operational problems.
3. Personal Skills:
a. Ability to influence an organization
b. Team player with strong personality
