Lead Design Engineer Job Description

LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER

Supervise and lead the design engineers during the detailing of selected designs to provide product definitions, involving verification of compliance with criteria stipulated by clients and the airworthiness authority

• Translate packages of requirements into cost conscious design specifications
• Contribute to lead-time reductions by improving design and production processes
• Indentify the feasibility of solutions together with the involved risks and the associated impact
• Monitor the correct iterative and concurrent course of the design process
• Analyze and incorporate proposed amendments

Lead Design Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years experience in working with CATIA or similar design programs
• Knowledge of airframe position structures and design principles
• Willing to work at Fokker and/or customer locations around the world for a longer period of time
• Fluent in English
