The Supplier Quality Engineering & Cost Engineering Group in Wilton CT is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable cost engineer with direct experience in optics fabrication, optical assembly manufacturing and cost analysis. The optical modules developed for ASML’s products include complex geometric/diffractive optics, complex lens assemblies, high-stability opto-mechanical assemblies, and precision electro-optic components. This position will require skills in optics / optical assembly manufacturing processes and the ability to understand and assess cost drivers to optimize cost-to-value proposition. -Be an expert resource for designers and manufacturing engineers to access for understanding manufacturing engineering & cost tradeoffs.
-Capable in developing cost models for components & assemblies to assist in improving cost-of-goods planning and assessment.
-Prepare detailed and summary cost analysis reports as necessary for project management to adequately control product costs.
-Work effectively with the design and manufacturing team to help define the optimized manufacturing process flows to assure product manufacturability, and drive for a fully industrialized design to assure compliance to cost, cycle-time, and quality requirements.
