Introduction
System function mechanical architecture (SF03) is responsible for the overall mechanical architecture for new machine developments.This starts with defining the frame work of the machine (performance impact, overall layout, adjustment, dynamics,
large frames, transport, install and service concepts). This is done in close interaction with System Engineering (SE) and other system function architects, as the mechanical architecture is an important enabler for the machine performance.
Together with SE and a team of experienced senior architects you will drive the mechanical architecture of the EXE:5000.
Job Mission
Take full ownership of the mechanical architecture of the EXE:5000 over the full V-cycle. Create system level mechanical requirements and concepts. Take a broader view beyond mechanics alone: challenge other architects on their proposed concepts.Keep overview at all times, mitigate risks and solve issues.
Job Description
-Create and maintain SDS Mechanical Architecture (system level requirement documentation);
-Participate in SE meetings. Support SE in their questions, challenge them, come with solutions;
-Regular alignment with program and line management on progress, risks and important decisions;
-Empower the architect teams supporting you (align, support, challenge, develop).
Education
Bachelor or Masters. Preferably in mechanics.
Experience
->10 years working experience as architect, preferably at ASML;
- Extensive machine construction and building experience;
-Has been lead architect of an complex machine/module (over full development cycle);
->5 years experience in leading large teams as main architect.
Personal skills
-Leadership. Can take lead on a large team on architects.
-Helicopter view. Easily can determine priorities and main risks
-Vision. Knows where to go to, also when there are many uncertainties
