Software Architect Project Leader Job Description

Introduction
ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. 
The Development & Engineering Department in the ASML Veldhoven office is currently expanding and we are searching for a Software Architect Project Leader

Job Mission
An initiative has started to improve the software architecture across ASML products. This initiative comprises removal of technical depth, introducing modularity in the SW architecture of ASML products, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment. The Software Architect Project Leader coordinates the activities in the different SW departments and drives the scalable modular architecture transformation.
Job description
The key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate architecture improvement activities
• Definition of the project portfolio based on the roadmaps
• Operationalize and monitor the project portfolio execution
• Management reporting on progress and plans
• Stakeholder management at senior management and VP level
• Organize and prepare workshops with the architecture community

• 10+ years of experience in a large-scale enterprise environment in the high tech production industry
• Solid SW System and /or SW Product Architecture experience in a complex environment
• Excellent communication skills and strong knowledge or stakeholder management
• Experienced in setting up the business priorities and ability to translate ideas and plans in concise overviews and plans
• Experience of Agile/scrum methodology and practices
• Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Technical background with SW engineering is required

• You need to be skilled at seeing things from a helicopter whilst keeping an eye on quality and deliverables
